Taoba is an elderly care organization. Its history starts in early 1990s, initiated by German-Georgian contacts and cooperation. Taoba established and developed such innovative services as elderly club, day care center, homecare, social enterprise, nursing home, assisted living, respite care, dementia management, PTSD management in elderly.  In 2007 Taoba was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate in Quality Management Systems. Initiated by Taoba, thematic networks have been established and trainings conducted. Taoba participates in forums and networks activities at local and international level. Taoba initiated regular celebration of the International Day of Older Persons in Georgia, launched activities to raise public awareness on elderly issues, initiated and assisted changes in elderly policy at state level.
